Amador H. Salinas, Sr.

Amador H. Salinas, Sr., 68, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2012 at a hospital in Kingsville, Texas. Amador was born on May 12, 1944 to Juan R. Salinas and Genoveva Herrera Salinas in Kingsville, TX. He worked at Los Dos Palomas Ranch for many years as a ranch hand-cowboy.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Emilio H. Salinas and Gilberto Salinas; sister, Maria Antonia Salinas.

Amador is survived by his wife of many years Irene P. Salinas of Falfurrias, TX; three sons, Juan P. Salinas, and Amador Salinas, Jr. both of Falfurrias, TX, and Arturo (Katrina) Salinas of Corpus Christi, TX; daughter, Irma S. (Leonel) Munoz of Falfurrias, TX; brothers, Cesario (Isabel) Salinas of San Isidro, TX, Amadeo Salinas and Juan Manuel (Nora) Salinas of Falfurrias, TX; four sisters, Maria Eloisa Vela of Sarita, TX, Tomasita Pena of Austin, TX, Elida DeLeon and Soila Salinas of Falfurrias, TX; 6 grandchildren, Juan Cody Salinas, Dustin Ray Munoz, Cori Renee Salinas, Leonel Munoz, Jr., Jacklyn Munoz, and Isaiah Salinas; 2 great-grandchildren, Royce Taylor Silvas, and Sophia Jolene Munoz.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams of Falfurrias, TX. Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 18, 2012 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, TX. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
