Alma E. Martinez entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at a nursing home in Laredo, Texas at the age of 78. She was born on November 7, 1938 to Adan Cadena and Emilia Hernandez Cadena in Falfurrias, Texas. Alma worked at the Laredo Job Corp as an Assistant Administrator for many years until her retirement. She was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by her parents; her husband, Rene Martinez and son, Rene Martinez, Jr.
Alma leaves behind to cherish her memories her two sons, Homero Martinez of Laredo and Alberto (Jennifer Denise Soto) Martinez of San Diego, Texas; brother, Adan (Eva) Cadena, Jr. of Falfurrias, Texas; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, one niece, one nephew and many great nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rosary will be prayed at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2016 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will be follow at 1:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with burial at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
