Adalberto M. Alaniz, age 57, of Hebbronville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 15th, 2021 in Laredo, Texas. Mele was born on August 21, 1964 in Hebbronville to Alfredo and Guadalupe G. Alaniz. He married his wife, Anabel C. Alaniz on August 9, 1991.
Mele was an avid sports lover. He enjoyed watching football, baseball, and softball. He especially loved watching college sports (Texas Longhorns) and Little League World Series. He worked in the oilfield all of his life. For over 20 years he was a dedicated employee for Cinco-E. It was there that he made life-long friends that turned into family. He had the opportunity to work with so many people throughout his life. He was a great mentor to young men, taught them great working skills, and built awesome friendships. These young men were able to move on to bigger and better jobs, but always managed to keep in contact with Mele. This meant the world to him.
He is preceded in death by his parents and niece, Esela Rocha.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Anabel C. Alaniz; his mother-in-law, Elma V. Cantu; his children, Amanda A. Alaniz (Jesse Rey Gonzalez) and Adalberto M. “Albert” Alaniz, II (Samantha L. Gonzalez); his granddaughter, Hailey Rae Gonzalez, which he cherished and his grand-dog, Broly Alaniz; brothers, Alfredo (Iracema B.) Alaniz, Jr., Arnoldo Alaniz, Abelardo (Selina R.) Alaniz; sisters, Aurora (Efrain, Sr.) Rocha, Ana Mosemiller and Alice Lee (Michael) Ramirez; special niece, Ruby A. Benavides; numerous other nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and many extended family members and friends.
Pallbearers will be Efrain Rocha, Jr., Odell S. Martinez, Arnoldo Alaniz, Jr., Abelardo Alaniz, Jr., Alberto Pena, Abelardo Pena, Alfredo Alaniz, III, Michael Cantu, Robert Garcia, and Mark Saenz. Honorary Pallbearer is Kristina R. Galvan.
Services will be held at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. Visitation will begin at 8:30 a.m. followed by the praying of the Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Internment will be at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
