Warren John “Jack” Noonan, age 74, passed away at his ranch in Pearce Arizona on Monday, December 6, 2021. Loving son of Peggy and the late Warren F. Noonan; dear brother of Karen Noonan (John Martin), Mike Noonan (Karen Farmer), Dr. Peggy Kranyak (Jeff Mertic) and the late Nancy Noonan; uncle of Ethan and Andrew Martin, Jesse W Kranyak (Beth), Meghan Wotsch (Jake), Isaac Mertic, Makaela Mertic and Eve Mertic.
Jack Graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1964. He then joined the United States Marine Corp and was honorably discharged in 1971. Jack graduated from the College of Wooster in 1973 where he lettered in Football. He was a retired Westlake Police officer who served the force from 1975 to 1997 serving on the bomb squad and as the department armorer. After he retired, he immediately moved to Pearce, Arizona where he resided until his death. He had scouted the Southwest for years on his vacations looking for the right spot.
Jack earned his private pilot’s license in 1969. He was an excellent motorcycle and car mechanic and he raced formula ford cars for years. He followed open wheel racing and had an extensive gun collection with the knowledge and expertise to go with it.
In Retirement Jack loved hiking in South West, collecting geodes, searching for gold and other precious metals. He completed renovating his AZ home, loved his dogs, and spent time watching cattle graze on his 120 acres. Jack was an excellent cook including such delicacies as frog legs and rattlesnake (fresh).
In Lieu of flowers, the family asks that you honor Jack with donations to Wounded Warriors Project.
Come celebrate Jack’s life, Tuesday, December 21, from 4 until time of service at 7pm in the Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd. Fairview Park, OH. Interment Private. The family requests Masks be worn during the wake.
