Dear Maggie and family,
We were so sad to hear of Rick’s passing.
I always looked forward to seeing him at Merry family gatherings. Such a kind and gentle man. We had great conversations and he always had great insights. We had fun comparing things in Canada vs the U.S.I will miss those big bear hugs and that booming voice.
Rest easy Rick.
Praying for peace for all of you as he leaves a deep void.

Maggie, I just wanted you to know how sorry I am to hear of Rick’s passing.  We worked together at Hill’s for many years and he was truly such a great guy.  He’ll be missed but his memory will live on.  My prayers for you and all of the family.

I first met Rick and Maggie over 25 yrs ago when I started cutting their hair. My first impression of Rick was that of a wonderful father because we would always have to schedule his appointments around his kids activities! He held true to the man that I thought he was all those years ago and then some. Every 6 weeks over the course of 25 years has added up to so many laughs, stories, and heartfelt conversations. Always, first and foremost, was his love for his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.  How blessed I feel to have known this man. How blessed I am to know his loving family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. 

So sorry for your loss.   To Rick, your cousin Debbie has shared your friendship and I have kept you and your family in my prayers. My you be at peace and your family treasure the memories of how you have touched their lives.  Maggie you and your family will continue to be in my prayers as we ask for God’s blessings and strength. 

Rick, you are the embodiment of a life well lived.  While you've left your family prematurely, your life's work lives on.  Reading the other comments shows all of us what a little kindness and love does for others around you.  Thank you for being that teacher of how people should treat on another.  While we mourn your loss, know that we'll do our best to comfort your family as they (we) grieve your loss.  RIP.

My good friend Rick Langley; it's hard to think he's gone.  I remember him from our early days of youth when we were good friends and did memorable things together.  Growing up through Madison, Harding and LHS getting to know each other better through the years. I remember Rick, Kurt Shreffler and me going on a long walk from Riverside Drive all the way to Kamm's Corner and back.  Then to Hobby Castle, lunch at Bearden's then back home.  I am grateful for the times I spent with Rick at his house after school, and the caring way he stood up for me when I was picked on.  One of my favorite memories was walking home alone at the end of high school and Rick and Maggie were driving by and picked me up. I'll always remember Rick as one of the kindest, most caring people I've ever known.  Friends forever!!!   Love, Kerry  

I first met Uncle Rick in 2014 when I joined a Merry/Langley family trip to Siesta Keys. As an outsider, and meeting my partner's family for the first time, I was nervous and trying to make a good first impression. From my first introduction to Rick, I was immediately thankful for his abundant kindness, smooth humor,  and all around charm. Over the years and several family trips, I always looked forward to time with Aunt Maggie and Uncle Rick, for not only where they a genuinely delightful company, but these two exude everything I hope to develop in my marriage (unwavering compassion, patience, humor, friendship, and unconditional acceptance).  We have all lost an incredible human in Rick Langley. I am honored to have known him, laughed with him, and learned from him. My deepest condolences to Aunt Maggie and family. I wish you all comfort and peace. 

There are a lot of memories when a family grows up across the street.  Biggs and Peggy moved in and had three wonderful sons.  Rick was so kind when my dad was sick and we needed help shoveling snow.  He always had kind words and a smile.  I remember how excited Peggy was when Maggie came into the picture.  Most of all I remember him convincing me to take Sandy, the family pup.  That was one of the best things I ever did.  He brought the kids to say hello to her, so they would know she was okay.  We were very blessed to have grown up with such wonderful neighbors…  sending love and condolences to all of you …  ❤️ 🙏🏽

Dear Maggie, Mike and Sarah, we are so very sorry to hear of  Rick’s passing.  He was so young and such a kind and gentle man.  He will be missed! My favorite photo is the one of he and Maggie watching Mike and Sarah dancing at their wedding! I wish I had a copy of it to share! Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time!
