Mary Jane Igrec

Born and raised in Cleveland, she cherished her family and friends near and far. She is survived by her children, Katie (Anthony) and John (Angelica), and grandchildren, Theodore, Howard, and Neil.

While Mary Jane is no longer with us, she will be remembered for her gift for storytelling and as a great listener to others’ stories. Her optimistic outlook and stories connect the many people she touched past, present, and future. As the daughter of deceased Robert and Marie Kamis, she thrived in an extended family as sister of Roberta, Barbara (deceased), Frank (deceased), and cousin, aunt, and friend to many. During her more than 30 years of working at the Plain Dealer, she forged strong friendships that continued long after her retirement.

A Memorial Visitation for Mary will be held Monday, December 30, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd, Fairview Park, Ohio 44126.
