GILLARD DAVID BOSTWICK, age 86, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2022. Beloved husband of Grace (nee Duschel). Loving father of David (Mary Kay), Nancy Nussbaum (Rob), Stephen (Lisa), Michael (Kelley), Daniel (Karen) and the late Lynne Plezia (Joe); grandfather of Meghan, Dave Jr., Chris, Josh, Robert, Emily, Nikki, Maddie, Andy, Abby, Alex, Ben, Izzy, Maria, Devon, Gracie; great-grandfather of Jasmine, Lexi, Chris, Ethan, Camden, Molly, Charlie, Addy, Liam, Maverick, Lydia, Zane, Lilliana, Finn and Reid; brother of Wayne and the late Judy Tidd (Jim); beloved uncle of many.
Gil retired in 1990 as an electrician for the City of Cleveland Div. of Port Control at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport after about 30 years. He had previously worked at General Electric in Euclid. He was drafted and served as a radio mechanic in the 3rd Armor division of the U.S. Army between 1959 and 1961. He graduated in 1954 from St. Ignatius High School, having lettered in track and paid his tuition by serving mass three times each day during the summer. He was a devout Roman Catholic, volunteer and member of the Secular Franciscan Order.
