She was born in Schenectady, NY, the daughter of the late Frank G. Hoza Sr. and Hattie (Czaban) Hoza. Betty was the beloved wife of the late James N. Tresler Sr.; loving mother of Peggy Skalecki (Gary) and James N. Tresler Jr.; cherished grandmother of Daniel, Kathleen (Sam), Brian (Syndi) and Thomas (Chelsey) Skalecki and great-grandmother of 13; dear sister of Frank Hoza (Barbara) and the late Dorothy Hoza; adored aunt and godmother of many.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 20, 2025 from 4PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 20820 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 1130AM at St. Angela Merici Church, 20970 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park in North Olmsted. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations to Birthright of Lakewood, in honor of Betty's many years of volunteer service there.
