Tonia Matt

Tonia Matt, 79, of Mattoon, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021. She was born on April 17, 1942 in Tremonton, Utah to Reynolds Franklin and Florene (Burbank) Weeden, Sr. She graduated from Collinsville High School in 1961. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren & great grandchildren. Lots of good food came from her kitchen as she did enjoy cooking. She was a cook at Belleville East High School for several years and enjoyed getting to know many of the kids there. She was raised a STL Cardinal fan & remained a true Cardinal fan. She spent her last years in Assisted Living, laughing it up with friends,learning new card games & playing bingo.

Survivors include her daughters, Karen (Ron) Wirth of Strasburg, IL, Debbie (Jimmy) Willis of Centralia, IL, Tammy (Butch) Knicely of Newton, IL and Michelle (Rick) Shaver of Columbiana, AL; grandchildren, Christopher (Lauren) Thoele, Tyler (Jennifer) Wirth, Matthew (Jessica) Thoele, Aaron (Sarah) Shaver, Austin (Ashton) Carson, Amberlyn (Ryan) Benson and Autumn Carson; step-grandchildren, Brett (Chrissy) Thoele, Tyler (Stephanie) Knicely, Tristan (Kristan) Knicely; great-grandchildren,, Kaylyn, Rylie, Declan, Emmaline, Paisley, Spencer Blake and Loughlin; step-great-grandchildren, Dalton, Codyn, Sean, Olivia, Cecelia, Jett, Dean, Bentley and Westin; sister-in-law, Judy Weeden; brother-in-law, Alan Hueseman Predeceased by her parents, ex-husband, Fred H. Matt Jr., sisters, Sherry Hueseman and Jean Farris; brother, Reynolds Franklin Weeden Jr., and granddaughter, Rochelle Shaver.
