Toni Gail Griswold

Toni Gail Griswold, 62, of Palm Desert, CA, passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024 at her residence in Palm Desert, CA. She lived with her loving sister, Lee for the last thirteen years in California.

Toni was born June 9, 1961 in East St. Louis, IL to John Lester and Wanda (Wilson) Griswold. They preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Nelson Soto and her nephew, Marion Faries.

She is survived by her two sisters, Judith (Jim) Faries of Wood River, IL and Lestalee Soto of Palm Desert, CA; her nephew, James “Denny” (Charla) Faries and niece DeDe Soto; great niece and nephews, John Tanner (Brittany) Faries, Matthew Faries, Miles (Becca) Faries and Kylie (Chad) Kefer.

Toni loved horses and would often go riding, something that brought her pure joy and the biggest smile across her face. She loved going out to lunch, where policemen and firemen would be eating and they loved getting their hugs from Toni. She never met a stranger and would always tell people how much she loved them.

Her and her dog, Beau had an inseparable bond. He always knew Toni would share her crumbs while she was eating. They were each others most faithful companion.

She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial donations in Toni’s name may be given to the American Heart Association.

A visitation for Toni will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1:00 P.M.- 2:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will be held immediately following the visitation, at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

Final interment will be held at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
