Shirley Ruth Staten

Mrs. Staten was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone and enjoyed gardening, watching the animals outside and caring for her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Evelyn, nee Dunnaway, Matt; and a sister, Pauline Schoonover.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Staten; her daughter, Debra (Dane) Tippett of Troy, Ill.; two grandchildren, Joshua Watson of Trumann, Ark., and Kylee Tippett of Troy, Ill.; a sister, Joan Riat of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.; and other relatives and friends,
