Ruth Ann Davis

Ruth was a member of St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Belleville. Ruth retired after 25 years as a retail clerk at the Children’s Shop in downtown Belleville. She was a life member of the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and was part of the Women of the Moose Lodge 53. She volunteered for many local organizations that she held close to her heart.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband of 36 years, Melvin James (Chuck) Davis, her parents William and Olinda, nee Bitter, Kuhlman, and her dear friends Bill & Edna Hettenhausen and Ralph & Norma Christner.

Ruth is survived by many cousins, nephews, nieces, and their families, along with the many friends she loved through the years, especially the members of the Hettenhausen and Christner families.

Services: Friends and family may gather from 9:30 until 11:30 a.m., Wednesday April, 18, 2018, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens, 5000 N. Illinois St, Fairview Heights, IL 62208. The funeral service will immediately follow, with Pastor Herb Schafale officiating.
