Ricky Dale Barnett Sr.

Rick was born June 6, 1958 in East Saint Louis, IL.

He was the amazing husband to Michelle Barnett also known as his RED, who truly loved him and will forever and always love and miss him.

Rick is survived by his children; Ricky Jr., Tiffany, Makayla, Carlea and Loren Smith, who he loved as if he was his own son.

Grandchildren; Gabriel, Barnett, Alexis and Madalynn Corbin and Michael (Jr.) Middleton.

Rick's favorite sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Rick Arecco and his favorite coffee buddy and sister-in-law, Becky Clark and mother-in-law, Linda McKenzie.

Special niece and nephew, Lisa Totty and Tony Buffo.

Rick was the proud owner of Tobacco Plus where his customers became friends and his longtime employees became family, such as Theresa Beavers and children, Sumer Warne and children and Wendy McCormick and her son Brian as well as Jim and Tammy.

His lifetime friends were Bob Ward and Danny Ireland.

In Rick’s final moments, he was surrounded by his wife, Michelle, his kids and grandkids, as well as many friends.

Rick was preceded in death by his parents; Luther Earl “Chick” Barnett and Beulah Ramsey Riley, sisters; Susie Buffo and Joanne Fleming, brother; Bud Thompson, beloved daughter; Samantha “Sammie” Esposito.

Visitation will be held from 4-8 pm, Monday, September 19, 2022 from the chapel of Lake View Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11 am, Tuesday, September 20, 2022 from the chapel of Lake View Funeral Home.

Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
