Paul E. Richmond

Paul was born in Belleville on October 23, 1963, graduated from Belleville East High, and for a time pursued a degree from Southern Illinois University- Edwardsville.

Paul was preceded in death by his mother, Charlotte Schwoebel Richmond.

Surviving are his three children, Kathryn Richmond Lawson, of Little Elm, Texas, Alexander Richmond, and Andrea Richmond, of the Orlando area of Florida; his father, Richard Richmond, of Belleville; and sisters, Kris Shwetzer, of Belleville and Leigh Minix, of Lantana, Florida.

Paul had an ear for music and for languages. He had written a number of songs, some alone, some as collaborations. In addition, he played several musical instruments and sang beautifully. Besides his native tongue, he spoke German and Spanish fluently. He was one of those rare individuals who never forgot a friend or relative’s birthday, no matter how far away that individual was or how long it had been since he had seen him or her. And the list of friends was extensive.

Funeral: A memorial service will be held at Noon, Saturday, August 24, 2013, at the funeral home with Rev. Charles West officiating.
