Pat loved the Lord and was a blessing to everyone she met. She met the love of her life, Gerald, and they celebrated over 58 years of marriage. From their union three amazing children were born; Michael, Sherry, and Chandra. She was an adoring wife and mother, but her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pat went to cosmetology school and opened her own shop in the basement of their home. She also worked for many years as a waitress and a home healthcare provider. Pat enjoyed times spent outside, gardening and birdwatching. She was a talented painter and enjoyed ceramics and decorating cakes. She enjoyed country line dancing and spending time with her circle of friends. She was a loving soul, who will be missed here on earth; yet through Christ, we will see her again.
She was preceded in death by her mother and stepfather, Nancy L. Stoff (Cummings) and Bernard Stoff; her father, Rosher James Smith; her brother, Ronald Smith; and a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Edmund and Norma Townsend; and a niece, Leanne Cerame.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Gerald D. Townsend, of Trenton, Illinois, her children, Michael (Becky) Townsend, of Foristell, Missouri, Sherry (Jim) Jenkins, of Trenton, Illinois, and Chandra (Chris) White, of New Baden, Illinois; her grandchildren, Matthew (Shannen) Townsend, Tyler Kohrs, Christaney Townsend, Jordan, Kaitlynn, and Logan Zeisset, Tyler and Kynsey White; her great grandchildren, Levi, Luca and Atticus Townsend; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert Townsend, Ronald (Barb) Townsend, and Donald Townsend; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Memorials are appreciated to the Clinton County Humane Society. Condolences may also be expressed online at www.lakeviewfuneralhm.com.
