Otto proudly served his country for four years, deploying in the Marine Corps, during World War II, as a Platoon Sergeant in the tank division. He worked as a superintendent for the Bi State Transportation Services for 38 years until his retirement. He was a loving dad, grandfather, and great grandfather, and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by, his loving wife of 64 years, Ruth Wehmeyer, his daughter, Victoria Eno, his parents; Otto and Julia Wehmeyer, nee Whitlock, and one sister.
Surviving him are his son; Mike (Kathy) Wehmeyer, his grandchildren, Tonya (Rob) Pollak, Todd (Amy) Eno, Jack (Dawn) Limpert, Doug (Amy) Wehmeyer, Tammy (Ted) McKim, and Kristi (Jared) Serra; eight great grandchildren and one bundle of joy on the way.

Funeral Service: Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 5, 2016 at 12 Noon, Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Interment will take place in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
