Norma Jean Clifton

Norma Jean Clifton, 89, of Caseyville, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023. She was born June 16, 1933 in Moberly, Missouri to Willy and Lucille (Moldenhauer) Luntsford. On May 14, 1952, Norma married Leonard Clifton and they shared 60 years together. For many years, Norma was an office manager for May Corporations. She was a member of State Street Baptist Church in East St. Louis before the church moved to the Fairview Heights Area in 1975 becoming Lake View Baptist, now known as Swansea Baptist Church, where she enjoyed teaching Children’s Sunday school for many years. Norma was also a member of the Women’s Auxiliary VFW Post 8475. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her children, Kim (Adam) Jones and Michael (Sandy) Clifton; grandchildren, Daniel Pace, Jessica (Greg) Merriman, Aaron (Amber) Jones, Andrew (Madison) Clifton and Rebecca (Andrew) Black; great-grandchildren, Kim Pace, Ethan Merriman, Brianna Jones, Laurel, Dani and Hayden Black; one great-great-grandson, Leo Gregory Pace. Norma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Clifton, sister, Mildred (Stephen) Hopkins and grandson, Daniel O’Driscoll.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 11:00am in Lake View Memorial Gardens, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208.
