Mary Ann Germain

Mary Ann, 94, was born March 8, 1928 in St. Mary’s, Missouri to Joseph and Anna Lorch. She married Eddie Crain on December 24, 1946 who preceded her in death in 1981. She married Leo Germain on January 16, 1988 who preceded her in death on February 7, 2006.

She was also preceded in death by her four brothers, Vernon, Leonard, Cletus and Orville and two sisters, Margaret and Sister Alvina Marie.

Mary Ann is survived by her brother, Lewis (Hope) Lorch; her daughter, Sheri (Brian) Quinn of Fenton, MI; her sons, Stephen (Sandra) Crain of Farmington, MO, Greg (Gerry) Crain of Troy, Illinois, Gary (Janet) Crain of Kansas City, MO; her grandchildren, Ryan (Heidi) Crain, Sarah (Craig) Elkington, Doug (Sara) Crain, Joseph Crain, Ben (Abigail) Crain, Andrew (Diane) Crain, Melissa (Charlie) Ward, Thomas Quinn, Phillip Quinn and 12 great-grandchildren. Mary Ann is also survived by her step-children, David (Cheryl) Germain, Carl (Jessee) Germain, Susan (Marco) Martinez; along with her step-grandchildren, James (Christina) Germain, Julia (Kyle) Whittington, Erika (Russell) Bondy, Kristen (Will) Balch, Emily (Brant) Bechtal and 11 step great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by one step-grandchild, Justin Martinez.

Mary Ann had a gift for fashion and decorating. She worked many years as a personal shopper and in this experience met her second husband, Leo with whom she enjoyed extensive travel. She was a long time member of the St. Claire’s woman’s club and St. Teresa Catholic Church.

Visitation: Friends may call from 12 to 1 pm Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Lake

View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208. A service will be held at 1:00pm in the funeral home. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens.
