Mary E Francis

Mary was born December 5, 1948 in East St. Louis, IL to Willard and Alta (Moore) Pense. She married Arlan W. Francis on October 8, 1966 in East St. Louis, IL; he survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving are her beloved children, David Francis and Angela Francis, both of Collinsville, IL; grand-dogs, Lucy, Linus and Bella; siblings, Nancy Sue Williams of Collinsville, IL and Janet Frost of Logan, IL.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Alta Pense; brother, Gerald Pense; sister, Denise (Donald) Younger; and brother-in-laws, Floyd Williams and Jack Frost.

Mary worked for 44.5 years for the Illinois American Water Company, serving in many roles throughout her time there; she retired in 2012.

Mary cherished the time she was able to spend with her family, especially her dear husband, Arlan. Together, they enjoyed traveling and creating a lifetime of wonderful memories. She collected snowmen, loved to spend time gardening with her daughter, Angela and cooking alongside her son, David. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to Unity Hospice.

VISITATION: A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 from 11:00 AM- 1:00 PM at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

FUNERAL: Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private family funeral will be held after the visitation. Interment will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL around 1:45 P.M. where guests are invited to attend.
