She was born on October 18, 1926 in Fremont, CA, the daughter of the late William and Ellen (Laffey) Stedman.
Marie was a member of various officers wife’s clubs in the Air Force. She enjoyed volunteering to teach English as a second language; additionally traveling with her husband all over the world. She also enjoyed bowling, bridge and her pet dogs.
She is survived by two sons Doug (Jill) Hartung of Belleville, and Thomas Hartung of Tampa, FL; two grandchildren Kara (Nick) Nolte and Derek (Kelsey) Hartung; two great-grandchildren Kinslee and Nash Nolte; many nieces and nephews. All who will miss her dearly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Paul Hartung; a brother and a sister.
Burial will take place at 1 pm on November 26, 2018 at Arlington National Cemetery.
