Mrs. Hogan was compassionate, caring, and known for her smile. She loved to do puzzles and play bingo. She was a loving mother, and grandmother, who will be truly missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Minnie, nee Becker, Schott; her loving husband, Norman E. Hogan, whom she married April 18, 1953; and a sister, Dorothy Darrough.
Surviving are her two daughters, Norma (Larry) Schmidt, of Caseyville, Illinois and Lynn (Gary) Wright, of Barnhart, Missouri; a son, Jerry Hogan; her six grandchildren; five great grandchildren, two sisters, Virginia Shake and Mary (Al) Habeck, both of Arnold, Missouri; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2012, at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
Funeral: Services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012, at the funeral home, with Rev. Charles West officiating. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
