Kathy Jean Gatewood

Kathy was born January 4, 1955 in Springfield, IL to Clark and Delores (Lehman) Little. She married Ron Gatewood on January 13, 1981 and together they shared over 40 years of marriage. He survives and resides in Fairview Heights, IL.

Also surviving are her beloved children, Kyle (Jennan) Gatewood of Fairview Heights, IL, Autumn (Ross) Rounkles of Belleville, IL, Ryan (Susan) Gatewood of Moscow Mills, MO, Nathan Gatewood of Belleville, IL, Jeremy (Leighann) Manning of Sherman, IL, and Seth Manning of Dayton, OH; her adored grandchildren, Tessa, McKenna, Braelyn, Landon, Tobias, Amira, Tyler, Evan, Grant and Macey; and sister, Peggy (Earl) Cumberworth of Springfield, IL along with many nieces, nephews and extended family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Scott Gatewood and brother, Ronald Little.

Kathy was a loving Grandma whose biggest joy was talking and spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping to find treasures of all kinds.

Above all else, her husband, children and precious grandchildren brought light and love to her life. Her compassionate and loving outlook in life will never be forgotten. Although her loss leaves a painful void, her legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who loved her.

VISITATION: A visitation for Kathy will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2022 from 4:00 P.M.- 8:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

FUNERAL: A private family service will be held. Final interment will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
