John David Hall

John was born February 18, 1965 in St. Louis, MO.

He married Karen Kay Seitz on July 25, 1992 in Belleville, IL. She survives him and resides in Swansea, IL.

Also surviving are his parents, John A. and Carol (Drone) Hall; his children, Jennifer Shinkle of Freeburg, IL, Jeremiah (Michelle Brazel) Graf of Belleville, IL, and Jessica (Eric) Cadell of Belleville, IL; grandchildren, Christopher, Ethan, Mackenzy, Bailey, Paiton, Chayse and Kale; siblings, Pam Hall of Ft. Myers, FL, Charlie (Stacie) Stutzman of Peru, IN, Tricia (Bob) Gillam of Kokomo, IN, Levi Stutzman of Indiana; and Kay’s family, his in-laws, Ron and Dorothy Seitz of Belleville, IL, Kay’s siblings, Gary Seitz of Las Vegas, NV, Sharon (Gordon) Obermueller of Bucyrus, KS, Darryl Seitz of Belleville, IL, Dave (Roberta) Seitz of Belleville, IL, Steven Seitz of Belleville, IL, Brian Seitz of Belleville, IL, and Diane (Tom) Vosse of Belleville, IL; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Kay (Stroud) Stutzman and niece, Dakota Mae Vosse.

John was an over-the-road truck driver for 40 years. For the last 10 years, he was a devoted employee with R & L Carrier.

John was a wonderful cook, who loved cooking delicious meals for all to share. He loved his time outdoors, whether it be fishing, camping, hunting, riding his motorcycle or floating on the water. He leaves behind his sweet four-legged friends, Rosco, Molly, Domino and Matty Mae.

John’s loss leaves a painful void but the memory of him will live on his loving family’s hearts forever.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL.

A visitation and time of gathering will be held prior to the service, from 9:30 A.M.- 11:00 A.M. at the church.
