John and his brother David came to see me as I was stationed on the Air Force side of Cam Ranh Bay and Dave was helicopter pilot on the Army side of the base. The day they located me I was on KP at officers mess, they got me out of it. We were first cousins! If I remember right John was flying in the B-52. I was an armaments specialist! 

As a father now myself, I realize that the phrase "It takes a village to raise a child" is entirely true.  

Mr Dumbroski has been like a second father since I became kindergarten friends with Dave some 38 years ago. I didn't realize it at the time, but he was watching out for me right along with his own son(s), and cared for my well being almost as much as my own father did.  I'm grateful to have had his support as well as that of the entire Dumbroski family.  He will be missed.

Truly sad news.  Grateful to have known both Nancy and John for many years.  He lived a life dedicated to his wife and family.  I will be praying for Nancy and her family as they walk through their time of grief.  May peace be with you all now.

Pauline and I were heartbroken to hear Johns passing. As a neighbor we often his parties. So many good times! Nancy and boys, we send our sincere condolences. May your last flight be made with fair winds. God speed.

John, Our paths crossed often: Air Force, C-130s, MAC Headquarters, CSC, golf, ATA, and many shared friends.  You were the consummate husband, dad, professional, flyer, leader, patriot, hunter, and friend.  You left this world after making it a better place for everyone you touched.  We will all miss you!

Dumbo the warrior, leader, organizer, doer.  He was all of these in all faces of his life.  He was my fraternity brother and someone I always admired. Being an organizer in college was one thing but rising in the USAF to O-6 - another.  A fine husband, father, friend.  He will be sorely missed by so many.  Condolences to Nancy and the family.
