Mr. Dumbroski proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 27 years, retiring as a Colonel. He enjoyed golfing, hunting, skiing, and gardening, but his most precious moments were those spent with his family and friends. John was a selfless man who coached youth soccer, volunteered at the Community Interfaith Food Pantry and served on the Belle Valley School Board for many years. He was a member of Nu Lambda Phi Fraternity at Grove City College, PA and a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church. He will be remembered by his care and love for others and his perfect tomatoes.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Francis and Anna, nee Paulitz, Dumbroski; one brother, David Dumbroski; two brothers-in-law, Wayne McCommon and Chuck McClenahan.
Surviving is his wife, Nancy, nee Moats, Dumbroski; his three sons, Michael (Matthew Woodward) Dumbroski, David Dumbroski, and Todd Dumbroski; one grandson, Ty Dumbroski; two brothers, Lawrence Dumbroski and Paul (Angie) Dumbroski; three sisters, Frances McCommon, Phyllis McClenahan and Laura (Paul) Opalenik; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Friends may call from 4-8 p.m., Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Illinois. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 7, 2016 in the funeral home chapel. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
