Jerry Mullins

Jerry was a loving and devoted family man and friend. Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 until 1963. He was employed as a truck driver for Super Valu Trucking Company for almost 25 years until his retirement. He married the love of his life, Sherry Kiefer on September 6, 2002. Jerry had a special love for dogs and the only cat he ever had, “Little Boy”. He enjoyed the mountains, being an avid NASCAR fan, football and especially baseball. Baseball was his most precious past time aside from his family. He was a huge fan of the University of Tennessee Volunteers and the Atlanta Braves. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother in law and friend. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He was preceded in death by his sons; Steve Rakestraw and Joey Poff and his parents, Thurman and Nellavee (nee Cookson) Mullins.

Surviving to cherish memories are his loving wife; Sherry (nee Kiefer) Mullins, of St Charles, Missouri; his children; Keith (Kelly) Mullins, Melissa Mullins, Angie Marshall, Jimmy (Audrey) Poff and Andy Poff; his grandchildren, Jennifer Guiton, Brenden (Alyssa) Mullins, Cody (Astasia) Kane, Brian Rakestraw, Jeremy Rakestraw, Joshua Rakestraw, Lauren O’Bryant, Cody Poff, Cheyenne Poff, Eric Ward, Jimmy Poff Jr., Brenna Poff, Averie Jo Poff and Bailey Aggison his brother in law, Bobby Kiefer; his sister in law, Judy Childers; his bestfriend Larry (Alice) Ryan and a number of dear cousins, relatives and friends.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 pm until 8 pm, Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Lake View Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, in Fairview Heights, Illinois. An additional visitation will be held the following day, Monday, March 27, 2017 from 10 am until 11 am at Lake View.

Funeral Service: All services begin immediately following visitation at 11 am, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Lake View Memorial Gardens, interment will take place immediately following services in Lake View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
