Jeffrey "Jeff" Lee Stratman

Jeff was born January 20, 1960 in Belleville, IL to Roger and Alletta (Thompson) Stratman. His mother survives and resides in Fairview Heights, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger "Butch" Stratman in September of 2020.

Jeff is also survived by his children, Amelia (Justin Simmons) Stratman of West Lake, LA and Roger (Britney) Stratman of Halifax, NC; grandchildren, Scarlett Stratman and Mason Simmons; brother, Kenneth (Celia) Stratman of Round Lake, IL; nephew, Neil Stratman of Chicago, IL and niece, Melody (Greg) Brantner of Malden, MA.

In 1981, Jeff began his career with the Fairview Heights Police Department as a dispatcher, then proudly served as a decorated police officer from 1985-2013, where he honored, protected and served his community. On several occasions, he was recognized as Patrolman of the Year.

Jeff enjoyed playing the guitar and his time fishing alongside his son. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 1:00 P.M.- 3:00 P.M. at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL. The family has entrusted Lake View Funeral Home with cremation services.
