Janet Ruth Getz

Janet Ruth Getz, 88, of Belleville, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022. She was born August 4, 1933 in Belleville, Illinois to Ivan and Katherine (Burger) Sharp. She married Leroy C. Getz Sr. in Belleville on May 25, 1974. She was a receptionist for Dr. Burton, OD for over 20 years.

Survivors include her husband, Leroy C. Getz Sr.; children, Mark (Nancy) Kimble, Barb Kimble, Leroy (Christy) Getz Jr., Ken (Linda) Getz, Charlotte Getz and Lois (Mark) Simpson; grandchildren, Ryan (Nicole) Kimble, Joel (Melissa) Kimble, Josh (Jen) Herzig, Brett (Julie) Herzig, Kyle Herzig, Katie (Lucas) Jones, Phillip (Jamie) Constantine, numerous other grandchildren out of state and many great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her parents and sons, Terry Kimble (May 2021) and Paul Kimble (July 2021).

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at 3:00 pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with Pastor Joe Scheets officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until time of service.
