Jacklyn "Jackie" Mae Mitchell

Jacklyn "Jackie" Mae Mitchell, age 63, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Jackie was born on October 20,1960 in East St. Louis, IL, to Bert and Jacklyn Nadene (Stout) Mitchell.

Jackie obtained her Bachelor's degree from Webster University. She later worked for AT&T in downtown St. Louis, as an IT manager, from which she retired after 30 dedicated years. Jackie served on the Caseyville Village Board as a trustee in the recent past. She was a current member of the Caseyville Fire and Police Board.

Jackie loved to travel and soak up the sunshine; she especially loved visiting the beaches of Mexico. She could often be found lounging in her pool and listening to good music. Above all else, she loved her children and grandchildren dearly. Her vibrant, beautiful life & legacy will live on through them. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jackie leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Melissa Davis-Gratzl, and son-in-law Josh Gratzl, of Collinsville, Kyle Young of Caseyville, and Lauren Torti of Caseyville; four grandchildren, Ayden Gratzl, Adam Gratzl, Amelia Gratzl and Ava Davis; her significant other, Randy McCallister; siblings, Pat Mitchell of Caseyville, George (Mary) Mitchell of Caseyville, Mike Mitchell of Caseyville, Susan Mitchell of Caseyville and Julie Mitchell of Caseyville; brother-in-law, Larry Campbell of Collinsville; her two best friends, Beth Mhoon of Caseyville and Lauri Downes of Bland, MO; her fur baby, Coco; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded by her parents, Bert and Jacklyn Nadene Mitchell, and her two sisters, Marcia Kay Mitchell and Brenda Campbell.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Siteman Cancer Center or to BJC Hospice.

A visitation for Jacklyn will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2024 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.

A funeral service will follow the visitation, at 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Final interment will be at Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, IL.
