Daniel “Danny” Glenn Wallace, of Swansea, IL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at the age of 76 in St. Louis, Missouri, surrounded by his family. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to many.
He was born on October 11, 1947 in E. St. Louis, IL to Glenn and Julia Wallace. He attended Assumption High School in E. St. Louis, where he excelled in academics and sports. He served his country in the United States Army. He later obtained a Bachelor's Degree from SIUE. He began his career at CSX Railroad, where he worked for over 40 years, rising through the management team. On November 12, 1966, he married Bonita “Bonnie” Wallace, who preceded him in death on December 20, 2015. Together, they had three sons, Daniel, Scott, and Joseph. He was a proud father, Poppy, husband, and joke teller.
He is survived by Rose Storner Wallace, whom he married on August 11, 2018. Rose has brought us all joy, lots of laughter, fun, and love. He welcomed her family as his own, and they shared many happy memories together.
