Cory Lee Hillyard

Cory Lee Hillyard, 47, of St. Jacob, IL passed away peacefully Sunday, May 26, 2019 at his home.

Cory was a professional truck driver with Ray LaFore Truck Service and a proud member of the Teamsters Local 50. In his spare time he was an avid pool player. He played with the American Pool Players Association (APA). Cory loved watching sports, especially football. He was such a dedicated Dallas Cowboys fan he named his only son Dallas. He was also a St. Louis Cardinals baseball fan and enjoyed playing golf.

Cory will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, faithful son and loyal brother. Above all, he cherished time with his family and friends.

Cory is preceded in death by his father Gerald F. Hillyard. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Jessica (Jessi) nee Keith/Perkins Hillyard; son, Dallas Hillyard; mother, Sharon Hillyard; brother, Cody (Tonya Bauer) Hillyard; step-father, Roger Flint; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.

A memorial service to celebrate Cory’s life will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, June 2, 2019 at the Caseyville Village Park Shelter #2.
