Connie Walker

Connie Walker, 68, of Belleville, IL took her final ride on Monday morning, July 29, 2024, after living a full and intriguing life enveloped with love, laughter and adventures alongside her late husband Gene, whom she married on September 17, 2003.

Connie loved to travel, was a fantastic dancer, adored animals and children, live music, gardening and houseplants, Native American Art and Culture, advocating for wildlife and the environment, and was the Queen passenger on the pillion seat of Gene’s Harley.

Connie was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert “Sonny” Crowe and Betty J Crowe, and the love of her life, Gene Levon Walker.

Connie is survived by her chosen family, goddaughter, Emily Rose Yost, and dear friends, Kate, Paul and Derek Bonn, and Barb Sebren.

Her bright light and fiery spirit will be missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be kept alive by those who loved her most.

A memorial service in honor of Connie Walker will be held Friday, August 2, 2024, at Lakeview Funeral Home & Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL from 5-7 pm, followed by a brief ceremony from 7-7:30.

A private burial is scheduled.
