She was born September 15, 1929 in East St. Louis, IL to James and Janet Post. She married Charles Joseph Price; he preceded her in death on June 9, 2013.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Judith Downey; daughter-in-law, Sherran Price; and siblings, Shirley Neff, Marcia Patrick and James Post.
Catherine is survived by her son, Darrel (Leigh Ann) Price of Green Cove Spring, FL; son-in-law, Paul Downey of The Colony, TX; grandchildren, Crystal (Leonard) Hernandez, Cathy Downey, Matthew (Lora) Price, Eric (Joshua) Price and Anna Downey; great-grandchildren, Britney, Arianna, Carmen, Grace, Lilly, Dante, Hannah, Jordan and Jacob; and great-great- grandchildren, Jarred, Koda and Zane.
Catherine’s husband, Charles, was a musician and was in a band for many years. Their active social life involved many nights of dancing, playing music and simply enjoying being together. Charles and Catherine paved the way for a family who loved boating and all water sports. They spent countless summers on the Lake of the Ozarks, where Catherine was most likely enjoying a bourbon or a margarita!
For many years, Catherine worked for Illinois Power in East St. Louis, IL then she continued her career as an executive secretary at Walt Disney World. Later in life, she retired to Sun City Center, Florida where she enjoyed golfing and the sunshine.
Catherine will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

VISITATION: A public visitation for Catherine will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. - 6:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, IL.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, private family services will be held following visitation. Services will be officiated by Rev. John Shank of Trinity Lutheran Ministries, Edwardsville IL.
Cremation rites will be accorded. Final inurnment rites for both Charles and Catherine will be held Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
