Bonnie Williams

Bonnie Beth Williams, 78, of Freeburg, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. She was born on January 6, 1943 in Beaucoup, Illinois to Samuel and Elizabeth (Meyer) Wetzel. Bonnie married Gary Williams April 25, 1964. She was employed at Siemens Manufacturing for 27 years. Bonnie was a very active person who enjoyed the outdoors. Some of her favorite activities were watersports, fishing and trips to the beach. Bonnie also enjoyed the casino. She made many memories with Gary as they traveled the country motorcycle touring. Bonnie loved her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, Gary Williams; three children, Pamela J. Turley (Doug) of Red Bud, IL, Cindy L. Hurst (LeRoy) of Columbia, IL and Kevin L. Williams (Anna) of St. Augustine, FL; grandchildren, Maranda Lee Williams, Alexander Louis Junge, Jacob Williams Hurst, Kaleb Lee Williams, Isabelle Jordan Williams; nieces and nephews, Dwayne Hettenhausen and Linda Hettenhausen, Brian Meyer, Michelle Valentine; great-nephews, Robbie, Michael, Ray and Daniel; brother, William Jenner (Loretta), of Pocahontas, IL; Dear Sister- in-Law and Brother- in-Law, Sandra & James McCoig of San Antonio, TX and Dear friend, Colleen Janssen.

Preceded in Death, are her parents, Samuel Wetzel and Elizabeth Wetzel; a grandchild, Victoria Elizabeth Williams; sisters and brothers, Patty Bell Hettenhausen, Beverly Sue Meyer, Vera Peeck, Elda Sturman, Hazel Ceglinski, Betty Hollingsworth, Barbara Jean Teel, Irene Doty, Lawrence Lamar, Arthur J. Lamar, Jim Lamar and Junior Lamar.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with Deacon Corby Valentine officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Interment in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois.
