Betty loved knitting and making afghans for friends and family. She will be remembered best for her cooking; especially her homemade blueberry and coconut cream pies. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker, taking care of her husband and children, and spoiling her grandchildren. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lily Holder of Paducah, Kentucky, and a grandson, Ricky Wade Jackson, of Collinsville, Illinois.
Surviving to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 60 years, Clarence L. Jackson, of Caseyville, Illinois; Her children, Thomas (Fleeta) Jackson, of Caseyville, Illinois, Carol Myers, of Fairview Heights, Illinois, Connie Jackson, of Collinsville, Illinois, and Cathy (Drei) Michels, of Cedaredge, Colorado; her grandchildren, Randy Jackson, Jeannine Reiff, Dan Myers, Charles McReaken, Cassandra Jensen, Ashley Sparks, and Amanda Cox; her 13 great grandchildren; and her longtime friend, Sylvia Boxdorfer.
The family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the staff of Aperion nursing home for the care and support of their loved one in her final days.
