Arthur Thomas Gustafson

He was born August 30, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY to Otto and Ella (Rule) Gustafson. He married Audrey Miles and together they had four children. Audrey preceded him in death in 1985.

He was also preceded in death by his second wife, Marian Eck; one son, Arthur Thomas Gustafson, Jr.; and his parents, Otto and Ella Gustafson.

Arthur is survived by his three daughters, Ethel (Don) Minton of O’Fallon, IL, Brenda Gustafson of Belleville, IL and Virginia (Jason) Jackson of Lancaster, CA; eight grandchildren, Donnie, Niki, Chasity, Hollie, Chad, Amanda, Amber and Anya; sixteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; daughter-in-law, Angie Gustafson and one brother, Robert Gustafson.

Arthur retired from the Air Force and civil service, where he proudly worked & served for many years. He enjoyed his trips to the Lumière Casino in St. Louis to play is favorite card game Texas Hold ‘em. Arthur will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Memorial donations may be made to Family Hospice. The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to both Jackie and Nico for their care and compassion shown to Arthur throughout his time with them.

The family has entrusted Lake View Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, IL with cremation arrangements.
