Born in New Bedford, a son of Barbara (Riendeau) Holden and the late Richard Holden. Peter grew up in New Bedford and lived in Fairhaven until his passing. He was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School and worked many years in the fishing industry.
Peter loved his family dearly, especially his nieces and nephews. He was truly a family man who loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed his dogs and was an avid New England Patriots fan.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a sister, Polly Hutchinson and her husband Paul of New Bedford; a niece, Laura Daniel of New Bedford; a nephew, Timothy Daniel and his wife Jessica of VA; his great nephew, Thomas DeFranco; great nieces, Aubrey and Penelope Daniel; his good friend, Douglas MacLean of New Bedford and many, uncles, aunts and cousins.
