Born in Wareham, son of the late Richard “Larry” and Grace (Costa) Girard, he lived in Fairhaven most of his life.
He was formerly employed as a receiving manager at SmartPak in Plymouth.
Mark is survived by his wife, and two sons, Jacob and Thomas Girard of Fairhaven; two sisters, Susan Blom of Somerset and Pat Girard-Merritt of VA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was the brother of the late Gary Girard.
Mark cherished his family and friends. He enjoyed playing volleyball and was a proud Dad watching his sons compete in volleyball games and tournaments. Mark enjoyed fishing, quahogging, listening to music, attending concerts, dirt bike riding, drawing, watching boxing events and cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 8, 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven, MA 02719. Funeral Services will be Friday, June 9 at 9:00 a.m. at Fairlawn followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Church, 440 Main St., Fairhaven, MA. Burial will be private.
