Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Alfred Foster and Patricia (MacLean) Foster of Fairhaven.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Matthew J. Washburn of Eugene, OR; five grandchildren; and siblings, Robert Foster of Fairhaven, Michael Foster of Las Vegas, NV, James Foster of Falmouth, Timothy Foster of W. Yarmouth, Peter Foster of Portsmouth, NH, Daniel Foster of Falmouth, and Margaret Edson of New Bedford. She was the sister of the late Thomas Foster, Andrew Foster, and Amy P. Savoie.
