Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of Michael Bessette and Candice Longworth and the late Cristine Landry.
Catherine had worked in the cafeteria as a lunch lady for the Brockton school system.
She loved her cats, the beach, hiking and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to her parents are her siblings, Shawn Souza, William Thomas and his wife Margaret, Michael Bessette, Jr. and Hollie Bessette; her niece, Aaliyah Thomas; her boyfriend, Richard Elliott; and several aunts.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023 from 5-7 PM in the Waring-Sullivan Home at Fairlawn, 180 Washington St., Fairhaven.
