Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late William F. and Gladys L. (Silver) Hayter she was a lifelong area resident.
Carol worked as an operator for the telephone company for many years. She enjoyed time spent on the beach, clam bakes, and being with friends. She was a social butterfly often spending time at the VFW and American Legion with her husband Ken. Her kindness and generosity will always be remembered. She was an avid blood donor and was given the Red Cross gold plate donor award.
She is survived by her pride and joy, a son, David Brennan and his wife Joan of Dartmouth, grandchildren, Heather K. Ricardo and her husband Nicholas, Harrison D. Brennan, Jessica L. Harwood, Ashley E. Harwood, and Christopher M. O’Shea; great grandchildren, Ellie P. Peterson, Mason D. Nunes, Brayden Estrela, and Nora Amaral. She was the mother of the late Lori A. Bush, grandmother of the late Holly E. Brennan, great grandmother of the late Joshua Peterson, and sister of the late William S. Hayter.
