Vera D. Morrison

Vera Morrison of Fairfax Virginia passed peacefully at her family home on May 26, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband Louis and daughter Julie. Vera was born in North Carolina on September 30, 1927. Vera is survived by six children, Myra Crosen and husband Acie; Sara Thorne Louis Morrison Jr. and wife Diane; Mary Frye and husband Readus; Renee Prokop and husband Barry; Lenoir Aston; sister-in-law Berenice McGee and Jean Morrison; 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends. Vera called Taylor Drive home for 47 years and was surrounded by wonderful friends and neighbors that she was honored to call family. Visitation will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main St. Fairfax, VA 22030, Tuesday, June 2, 2015 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM with services to follow. A private burial service will be held in Concord, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers Vera’s children have requested that you do a random act of kindness in her memory.
