Joseph Leonard Price

Joseph Price, loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 75 surrounded by his wife and all six of his children in Ashburn, Virginia on December 8th, 2022.

Joe was born Patterson, New Jersey to the late Joseph and Rita (Leonard) Price. Joe spent his childhood and school-age years in the tri-state area. He attended Pace University where he studied business and finance and was a cornerback on the football team.

After a brief stint at Mobil, he began his illustrious career at Dunkin Donuts. This role would take him and his family to the Philippines for 8 years before returning to the United States and relocating to southern California. There, Joe continued to work in the retail food industry until relocating to Lakewood Ranch, Florida for a few years and then ultimately, Ashburn, Virginia.

Throughout his life, Joe always enjoyed the game of golf. A near scratch golfer, he claimed to have achieved the almost impossible task of a hole in one on three separate occasions - none of which can be corroborated by family members. If he wasn’t on the course playing golf, he was there volunteering his time as a starter at the Brambleton Golf Course - unless the Steelers were playing. While not golfing, Joe loved to support US Veterans through outreach programs designed to help find them resources the resources they needed.

Joe also loved to spend time with his grandchildren whenever he could. Those who knew him well knew that his quiet demeanor and grin was a facade that hid his quick and sharp wit, and bombastic sense of humor.

Joe was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and his mother, Rita. He is survived by his wife Linda Price; his two sisters, Rita Thomas and Mary Ann Jiaconia; his six children, Joseph E. Price, his wife Marisa and their two children, Joey and Justin; Shannon (Price) Spendolini, her husband Scott and their two children, Isabella and Owen; Ryan Price, his wife Joanne and their two children, Morgan and Patrick; Sean Price and his wife, Danielle; Meaghan Price and her son, Liam; and Brendan Price, his fiancé Amber Dempski, and their children Madison, Harleigh and Ella.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 12th, at 10:00 AM at Demaine Funeral Home - 10565 Main St., Fairfax, Virginia 22030.
