George Haigler Dickerson went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 10th, 2017, at the age of 58. George married the love of his life, Tamela K. Dickerson, whom he recently shared a 33rd anniversary with on November 22 of this year. George and Tammy had one son, Adam Dickerson. Whom he loved with all his heart. they share together a passion for classic automobiles and this passion brought them very close and it is something that they will always have together. George lived every day for his son and cherished him dearly.
He was born on June 24th, 1959 to his beloved parents Marvin and Juanita Dickerson Sr.
George was the second born of their three children. He was raised in Fairfax County, Virginia and graduated from Fairfax High School. George remained in Fairfax County his entire life, and retired as Unites States Postal Service Carrier after 37 years of federal service.
George enjoyed working on vehicles, fishing and spending quality time with his family. He also loved roller coasters and going to the beach. He will be remembered for so many things but specifically his very genuinely kind and warm personality, his witty jokes, and most of all his love for his family.
He is survived by his loving wife, Tamela K. Dickerson, his father, Marvin C. Dickerson Sr., his two siblings, Marvin Dickerson Jr. & Reavadean Sacco. Also, he leaves to cherish his memories Adam N. Dickerson and his wife Amanda J. Dickerson and their daughter, his 1st and only grandchild Jodi L. Dickerson. He was predeceased by his dear mother Juanita Dickerson. Additionally, George was equally loved by his in-laws Jerry and Della Atkins and he leaves also to mourn 2 sisters-in-law, Rebecca McDonald and Cheryl Dickerson. George will also be remembered by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a host of cousins, other family members and friends.
Visitation will be Friday, December 15th, 2017 at 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the Demaine Funeral Home in Fairfax.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday December 16th, 2017 at 12:00pm at the Centerpointe Church of Fair Oaks with burial to follow at Fairfax City Cemetery.......
