Elmont John “E.J.” Thomas, age 100, passed away on May 8, 2016 and is now resting in peace. He is the beloved grandfather of Cindy Riehl Protogiannis and Bonnie Newman; great grandfather of Michael Riehl and his wife Kelly, Devon Newman, Kimberly Riehl, and Kaylin Newman; and great great grandfather of eight. He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Claudia Thomas, and also by his son, Wayne Thomas. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 14, 2016 from 10am until service at 11am at Demaine Funeral Home, 10565 Main St. Fairfax, VA 22030. Interment will follow in National Memorial Park. The family would like to express their appreciation to Blue Ridge Hospice for the care, compassion and love given to Elmont in his final days.
