Dan this is a voice from the past. I have just heard of Liz's death from Glenda. Please accept our condolences. Dick and I were neighbors of yours on Twilight Court until 1981. 
I have such fond memories of you both and your children.  Those years we lived on Twilight Court were very happy and special. I know that had Dick not decided to leave the SEC and accept the job in Cincinnati that we would have raised our family right there on Twilight Court.  We have driven back to the neighborhood and it still had the same feel although of course not all the same people.
Again I am sorry to hear of your loss. Liz was a special lady

RIP Mrs Link I will be forever grateful. You will be truly missed!!

I was there for the viewing and service.  So many people talked about Liz.  I could not, was too upset.  So, will do so now.  Liz was there for me through thick and thin, during my darkest days, she understood if I needed to take off or take 2 weeks off to see family in Argentina.

I teased her about all her different color shoes that went with her checkered summer pants; her tan!, oh lordy, she always had this beautiful tan.  I gave her a hard time and sometimes she gave it back to me.  Rosaleen, 'I am the boss'.  OK, Liz, but then I did what I wanted!!  Rosaleen, we need to touch base, or when she retired and called me, 'Rosaleen, this is important, it is business'.  

Every year, she would ask us to send pictures of our kids or grandchildren as she was planning to have either a xmas decoration with the pics of our family, or mouse pad, with our family on it.  She was one of a kind.  I laugh because we can all be a pain in the neck, and she was just as bad.  However, her heart was in a good and right place and I was so very fond of her.  

Liz, I still cannot believe you are not here on this earth.  However, one does not want to live with pain and we are in pain that you are not here.  I know for sure, that you are in a better place and that we will all meet at some point.  I love you dearest Liz.  Rosaleen

I will be forever grateful to Liz for creating Project Opportunity.  She was a wonderful advocate for teen parents and had an positive impact on many young lives!  My heart is with her family at this sad time.

I am thankful to God for the opportunity to have you be a part of our extended family and to tell you how much we appreciated you.  Thank you for helping my daughter through the Generation Hope Scholarship program.  I pray your family finds comfort during this time and may you rest in peace.

Liz was truly a great educator. Her support of so many young women in Project Opportunity and her work with them inspired all of us at Bryant.    It was a pleasure to work with her. Her legacy lives on.

Liz will be truly missed.  She was an advocate for adult learners and cared deeply about the community.  She served on the Fairfax County Adult and Community Education (ACE) Foundation  providing educational opportunities for those who could lest afford it. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. It was an honor to know Liz and to work with her as Jobs for Virginia Graduates manager. What a marvelous role model for her students and colleagues. The notes and cards from her former students reflect the many lives she touched and changed. I am very saddened to learn about the death of Liz Link.  She was a true educator, pioneer in alternative education, and supporter of Jobs for Virginia Graduates (JVG) and many community organizations.   Her expertise and support will be missed by many students she touched during her long teaching career and the many organizations she served.   I consider it a personal honor to have known and worked with Liz during the last 20 years.   

My thoughts and prayers are with Dan and the family.  May the wonderful memories of their special times bring comfort and peace!

What a wonderful lady! I worked with Liz for many years and always found that she was a true inspiration.  She understood - "When you educate a women, you educate a nation".  God Bless!

Liz was a beacon of hope for my daughter, Andrea, when she entered Bryant High School's Project Opportunity in 2001.  My late husband and I were always grateful for the love, encouragement and mentoring Liz provided our daughter as well as all the other young moms in the program.  Even after graduation from Bryant, Liz kept in touch and involved Andrea in many speaking events as a Project Opportunity success story.  I am proud to say that my daughter has surpassed her own expectations and continues to succeed in her career as a registered nurse.  We were truly blessed to have had Liz in our lives.  God be with all of you during your time of mourning.
