Doris B. Litman

Doris was born in Hopwood, PA to Caroline (Ditmore) Bierbower and Howard Bierbower on June 11, 1934.

She worked at West Penn in Uniontown, PA, Virginia Electric Power Company in VA, and as a Career Guidance Counselor at W.T. Woodson High School in Fairfax, VA.

Doris is preceded in death by her late husband, George Litman Jr.; along with her late sisters Betty Jane Bierbower, Laura Barber, Garnet Martin, and Marlene Kay Bierbower; and three brothers, Edwin Ray Bierbower, Howard Bierbower Jr., and Hugh Shannon Bierbower.

Doris is survived by her sons George Litman, III, and his wife, Maria of Centreville, VA, Scott L. Litman and his husband, James R. Lippold of Annandale, VA; sister of Margaret Johnson of Uniontown, PA and Richard Bierbower of Uniontown, PA. She is also survived by two grandchildren George Litman, IV and Mark Litman.

Funeral mass will be held at 10:30 am Friday, April 4, 2025, at St. Timothy’s Church in Chantilly, VA and followed by a 12:00 pm graveside service at Fairfax Memorial Park in Fairfax, VA.
