Brett Michael Wood, 69, of Arlington, VA passed away on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Brett aka Woodsy was an attorney in Fairbanks dating back to the early 1970’s until moving in ‘97. His greatest passions were family, friends, the Law, Nanooks Hockey and Goldpanners Baseball. After moving from Alaska he worked for Judicial Watch, the U.S. Capitol and Park Police among other projects. He is survived by his wife, Susan; his son, Michael, his sister Kathi, and brother Bill, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 1st at Demaine Fairfax Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the National Hospice Foundation at nhpce.org, or to the American Cancer Society.
