Wilburn "Junie" Welsh

Wilburn "Junie" Lee Welsh Jr, 73, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023. He was born in Louisville on May 2, 1950. Junie proudly served his country as a Marine in the Vietnam War. He loved to read and fish enjoying teaching others how to fish as well. Junie loved his family and friends and especially his kitty cat, Reggie.

Junie was preceded in death by his parents, Wilburn Sr., Reba Mae, Christine Welsh, Alma Mitchell; and his grandmother, Lucy May Alvey.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Beverly Welsh; daughter, Stephanie Kittle (Darrell Jr); grandchildren, Kelsey Kittle, Zachery Kittle; siblings, Wayne Curtsinger (Darla), Tonda Long, Tina Mitchell, Donald Brown; and several extended family and loving friends.

A Celebration of Life for Junie will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Fairdale-McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, 40118.
