Etta Laverne Stivers

Laverne was a member at Fairdale Baptist Church for many years. Her life was a great testament to the fact that she loved and cared for so many people. She loved her family deeply and they loved her. To know Laverne was to know true love, kindness, faith, strength, and compassion. She will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband of 67 years, Herbert Stivers Jr.; great-granddaughter, Emerson Stivers-Schmidt; siblings, Geneva, Cecil, Russell, and Pauline.

Etta is survived by her sons, Larry, Morgan (Susan), Michael (Linda), Terry (Tessa); grandchildren, Brooke, Kristy, Dalton (Jordan), Michaela, Nina, Emily, Sarah (Nick), Lora Jean (Johnathan); great-grandchildren, Adrianne, Coeur d’lane, Lennon, Emmitt, Adalynn, Weston; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2023 from 1-8pm at Fairdale McDaniel Funeral Home, 411 Fairdale Road, Fairdale, KY. Service will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023 at 11am, with burial to follow at Mt. Holly Cemetery.
