Roy L. Slaven

He is a retired Tech. Sergeant and Vietnam War veteran for the United States Air Force, serving our country for 20 years. He went on to work at Sears and retired after 21 years.

He enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting. He also enjoyed gardening both flower and vegetable gardens. One could often find Roy either outdoors or watching westerns on television. His life was extremely devoted to his family.

Roy is survived by his wife of 57 years, Gina Centofonti Slaven; daughter, Christina Lloyd; grandson and his daughter, John and Makayla Kernich; grandson and his wife and daughter, Phillip, Lesley and Kamea Lloyd; and granddaughter, Christian Lloyd.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Knox; brother, Ralph; and sister, Avo Turner.

Friends may call in the Burcham Jennings Funeral Home, 119 E. Main St. Fairborn, OH on Friday, August 17, 2012 11AM to Noon where services will follow at Noon with Deacon Max Roadruck officiating.
